“Admiral Leopold Butterball” is a charming piece of local Saskatchewan folk art, embodying the whimsical and inventive spirit of the region’s artisans. Crafted by enveloping an inflatable rubber ball in plaster, the artist has skillfully sculpted the material into the form of a plump lion, complete with a jovial expression and a regal posture that belies its rotund proportions.
